Sporthouse brought the anthem to life by teaming up with Antwerp-based producer Rafael Hempel, known as RAFI. Joris Brys and Evert Winkelmans wrote the lyrics themselves, while Sporthouse coordinated the full release: from press strategy, producing the videoclip to the live premiere at midnight at Baraoke XL in Leuven, open to anyone who wanted to be there.
"Wereldkampioen" reached over 130,000 listeners on Spotify and reached nearly 60,000 views on YouTube - a strong result for a team producing its first-ever song. The release added a new medium to MIDMID's track record.
